Music Course Descriptions

Band I - V |
Class emphasis
will be on the study and performance of literature written for the modern
concert band and marching band.
Prerequisite for the course is
general
proficiency playing a wind, or percussion instrument, which is part of the
traditional ensemble instrumentation. Audition MAY be required in order
to address individual student need and placement in correct
ensemble/class. Topics to
include: A variety of literature in various musical styles, Sight Reading
skills and
Ensemble Techniques.
At the conclusion of the course, the
student will be able to demonstrate improvements in the following musical
performance skills:
